About Us
Hello, my name is Tabatha Mitton and I am the owner of Keeping Tabs Pty Ltd.
We are a Tasmanian owned and operated Bookkeeping / Accounting firm for small – medium businesses, established 1st January, 2010. We are registered BAS Agents (262 07494) and are a team of very competent people who are ready to be of service. Whilst our clients operate across many different industries, we primarily service retail food and beverage operations. We provide either a complete bookkeeping solution, or part thereof, depending on your requirements.
We use cloud - based accounting solutions and are currently partnered with Xero. We are also happy to learn any new systems that may be integrated with your accounting software or that you may be using to assist in the running of your business. We currently provide services in the following areas;

Cash Management
- Ensuring a positive cash flow
- Banking and credit card reconciliations
- Managing cash flow to ensure payment of creditors, payroll, and direct debits
- Reconciliation of sales data to daily banking (EFTPOS and cash)
End-of-Month Reporting
- Processing of end of period reconciliations and adjustments
- Management reporting, including payroll, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet
- Analysis of actual v’s budget data and reporting
- Franchisor reporting (if required)
BAS and PAYG Returns
- Calculated and processed online, through the BAS Agent portal
- Payments of BAS debts and management of refunds
Payroll
- Setup and maintenance of new employee data
- Management of various online payroll systems for processing of timesheets
- Transfer of monies to staff and payslip distribution
- Lodgement of STP (Single Touch Payroll)
- Ensuring compliance (PAYG, award rate increases, superannuation increases etc)
- Determine PAYG and Payroll Tax requirements
- Manage staff entitlement balances to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Manage the payment of allowances and salary sacrificing arrangements
- Manage workers compensation administration and payment of wages
- End of year payroll functions
- Super streaming as per relevant legislation
In addition to these functions, we can directly provide your tax accountant with your accounting file at year end which has been reconciled and prepared for taxation, as well as providing the supporting documentation.
We can also assist with fixed asset management, applying for finance, setting budgets, checking pricing on supplier invoices and providing reports for decision making purposes.
